IMAGES OF GRAUBALLE MAN SUPPORTING EVIDENCE OF HIS LIFESTYLE AND EXAMINATION – BLOG 9

Fig 1: Picture of Grauballe man’s teeth. Based on examination it was found that his teeth were not in the best condition which indicated that he often remained starved and might have belonged to a poor family

Fig 2: Picture of Grauballe man’s hand. According to SEM (Scanning electron microscopy ) results it was found that his hands were very smooth compared to the other bog bodies. One would expect that being in the iron age people would be involved in hard manual labour but Grauballe man was an exception. He never worked very hard which is indicated by his smooth fingerprints.

Fig 3: Facial reconstruction of Grauballe man carried out by CT scanning and computer generated imagery with the help of templates from the x-rays of the skull and sculpting it with clay over the templates.
